It used to be an derogatory term used by Americans, but now it is embraced by Canadians.

The bigger issue up there are the Edmonton Eskimos. I remember asking some visiting Canadians thirty years ago when they stopped calling them Eskimos and started calling them Inuits. They looked at me like I was dense and said, "We've always called them that" which I didn't believe. I found out later that probably started in the mid to late 1970s.

Yankees doesn't bother me at all. I just can't stand the baseball team. If some foreigner called me a Yankee I wouldn't be insulted unless they put some other words in front of it.

    Chuck Norris would not approve.

The Redskins may also have to drop Washington too as he was a slave owner

Just announced that one of the new NFL name options for Washington is the Red Tails, and they should immediately pick up major sponsorship from Desitin.

A very, very good question that one. At least Dallas has Jerry World for their cost being so high despite much similar results.

With the way he's run the team into the ground, yes. They need The Hogs again (non-racist thing they can keep, maybe a good mascot?) to protect their QB's as RG3 sure showed. The hit against Seattle he took that killed his career wasn't on a scramble play where he took off, it was on the o-line getting beat bad.

The same was true in NASCAR for the confederate flag where fans still brought them to Talladega, just kept them off the property in tailgate areas.
Yeah, they can't really "force" them to stop doing it.

UND fans still have their undies in a bunch over the name change - so much so that they still produce bootleg merch with the old logo on it as a "gotcha." It's sad really. Engelstad had the logo plastered everywhere in the arena. His logic was the more places he'd put the logo, the more time consuming and expensive it would be to remove it - thus the school wouldn't accept the name change. Boy was he ever wrong.

I'm sure most UND loyalty begins and ends with the hockey season anyway, so I don't see why they're so upset about it.
