I'd like to see an adjustment made for graduation rates during the last 50 years and then take a look at the list.

Yep. It's #136(tie) in USNWR Best Colleges in National Universities. Mines is #80 and Missouri S&T is #15& (tie).

I would leave off GVSU as well, who wants the team with the highest winning percentage in football on this list. And for NW they havent done anything winning 6 Nattys. Move along nothing here.
