The committee uses win%, SOS, record vs d2, record vs D2 over .500 and performance indicator. Since record vs d2 and record vs d2 over .500 are somewhat accounted for in the first two a lot of weight is placed on the first two. One way to combine them is win%+SOS. The PI is a wildcard. It is a really difficult formula.

interestingly, the extra game helps Shepherd by diluting their loss.

So it is a no brainer, Valdosta and Ferris are going to host, guess its between Shep and Co Mines on who plays who.

ESPN.com is showing on its Week 15 schedule the two D2 semifinal match-ups will be Colorado School of Mines at Valdosta State (12 PM ET start) and Shepherd at Ferris State (3:30 PM ET start).

Additionally, both games (as well as the two D3 semifinals) will be broadcast on ESPN+, not ESPN3. I'm personally not surprised by that decision.

Yeah, it's ok for pro sports and D1. But this is D2 national playoffs, at least put the games espn3. If all playoff games played on campus sites are required to be free when streamed so should the semifinals.
