  • Run defense

Wow, I think it's been a while since a team has had over three hundred yds rushing on the Rams!

Is the d-line that weak, lb's slow? or was ND's line that much better??

Has to be the greatest concern from week 1!

They are young and just not strong yet. Gonna be a little bit of growing pains with the youth. Seems to be a cyclical thing with the rams program.

They have a great 3-4 year run then a off year, seems to be a reload year in between those intervals.

What I saw was a few big plays. Some poor tackling at the line and poor angles taken by olbs and corners allowing a speedy back to break free.

Half of their rushing yards were on two runs. That being said, NDC still had 35 carries for 160 yards which comes to 4.5 yards per carry. The punt return for a touchdown was a similar issue; Shepherd had a wall of defenders which I felt were spread out enough that contain wouldn't be an issue ... I was wrong.
