    Re: Shepherd helmet design suggestion

[QUOTE=Nick - Shep '05;2316470]Since Shepherd is moving to the PSAC next year, and will be the only non-Pennsylvania football-playing school in the PSAC, I think they should incorporate an outline of the state of West Virginia into the helmet design (maybe superimpose it over the Ram horns) to distinguish us from the West Chester Golden Rams, which has a virtually identical design (except for the color). What gave me the idea are the helmets WVU is wearing today.[/QUOTE

That's some serious statement. Try living around 6 or 7 years in our shoes!

Ramparsons: You need to switch to Decaf, 7-3 in a rebuilding year. Blow a redshirt (backup kicker) in a game that was well in hand? ND game... first start for true frosh QB. 3 year Center out due to injury in that game. Starting RB out for entire year except 2 games. Backup RB out for most of season.

Very young team future is very bright. Patience.

This team, this staff will compete for National Chanpionship in 2 years.

West Chester changed their helmet design prior to the 2018 season, so it's all good now.

I first saw WCU's new helmets against Kutztown. I absolutely love those. You can never go wrong with the old, reliable ram horns design, but it's great to see teams get creative. And what makes them even better is that they're similar to LSU, but white. I've always liked LSU's alternate white lids.

IMO, now that West Chester has a (great) new design, Shepherd should keep their helmets how they are. Hopefully WCU rides with these for awhile and doesn't start changing helmets yearly.
