Not surprised about Hill. He was a Kellar "guy." Experienced coach who was a very active recruiter. It will be interesting in a train wreck sort of way to see who they bring in to replace him. My money is on a "never been a college coach before" type former player...Don't want anyone coming in upsetting things with their silly ideas of how things are done at other programs!

Stumbled across the new OVAthletics.com podcast. Episode 3 was an interview with WLU head coach. A couple of quick tidbits:

        1. Camp starts Aug 9,
        2. Former VA Tech transfer RB Branden Ore was not healthy except for the first two games at WLU. He had turf toe.
        3. WLU has had to hold some scholly spots in reserve for next season to insure a steady flow of football players onto the Hilltop.
        4. After the 2009 season he had several D1 coaching offers and was going to take one of them until his wife said she was not going to go with him.
        5. Said he's going to coach at WLU until he gets tired of it.

Wow, good luck to all you WL fans. His wife probably realized they had a good consistent thing up there, she made the right choice.

Multipal ADs and presidents. Clearly there is no pressure to win or even be a decent team. It's head scratching when you look at the success the basketball team has had over the course of the same time frame - 517-79 (.867) with 17 consecutive 20+ win seasons. Our football HC's record over his first seven years - 52-26 (.666) with seven winning seasons...over the last nine - 38-65 (.368) with two winning seasons.

Losing 17-0 at half to Walsh, what an embarrassment

This is the definition of insanity. I will continue to not watch WL football until he is gone.

They should broadcast a live feed of basketball pick-up games rather than the football game.

The only hope is that the new president saw this game and finds it completely unaceptable and fires our HC immediately.

That was the poorest execibition of football I've EVER seen by the Hilltoppers...And there have been A LOT of piss poor performances over the last 10 years so that is saying something!!!

Wheeling just somehow lost to Seton Hill.

He11...A "live feed" of the clock tower would be more entertaining!

So Sad. Maybe the AD should be fired for not firing Wally.

AD is a basketball only guy. Former women's basketball coach who is more than happy to have women's basketball being the #2 sport on campus!
