Any updates of note from the Mountain State ??

According to their NSD web page, Frostburg State currently signed three players. An ATH from the eastern shore of Maryland, a TE from Baltimore County, and a DL from VA:

Last count NDC was up to 40. Great job recruiting this year!

Up to 33 as of 8:30pm last night. I know there was a few twitter commitments from some lineman that haven't rolled in yet either. Might get close to ND's 40 #.

Not sure if this the actual final count, but according to Frostburg State's NSD web page they only signed 8 players:

If true, that number is incredibly weak for an up and coming program. It may indicate that Mid Atlantic recruiting area for D2 talent is, in fact, owned by SHEPHERD as their fans have always claimed. The BOBCATS will have a difficult time competing with UC, 32 signees, and NDC, 41, if this result becomes their norm. Time will tell.

Depends on who they signed last year and who is coming back. If there is tremendous stability in the program (i.e. most players returning) you're not going to have a lot of signings. On the other hand, if you are having to bring in 40 players season after season, that can indicate a problem.

Well then they must be scaling down their team since they would seem to be losing at least 20 seniors and grads plus some number of others who leave of their own volition and a new class of at least 20 would seem desirable. Who knows.....time will tell.
