SCSU may not have a Head Coach, but they've posted their schedule.

They show a Week #1 BYE. Anyone know if that is finalized - or are they looking for an 11th game?

Bentley looks to be in a rebuild - again.
2 coaches went with Thakkar to Davidson. It seems a few more have also left the program. Only 2 assistants are still listed on their website - both defensive guys.

What is going on up there in Waltham? So many coaches come and go within the last 5 or 6 years? Can't be good for the program and players even with recruiting?

When Kavanaugh left he jolted the program. [After '21season]
Reynolds was a bad hire and he assembled a useless staff. All his asst. coaches quit after the '22 season. He hired Thakkar from Harvard to be his OC. School got rid of Reynolds, gave the job to Thakkar after zero interest in the job. After 2 years Thakkar took the FCS job at Davidson. That left the Bentley Alum, Scarpa [under 30] to lead the program.

Their success that last few years have been on the backs of Kavanaugh recruits. Those classes are pretty much gone.

If they don't hit some homeruns in The Portal, expect a drop the next couple of years.

Not sure the Bentley program gets the same level of administrative support other NE-10 schools enjoy.

Yes, and some will play an NE10 team twice to get there.

Still no coach yet…I almost want to say that their coaching candidates must be in the transfer portal!
