    Briles may know football. But ... he's a total scumbag of a human. Hence his new job.

      Perhaps you should get outside of Pennsylvania and broaden your experiences by seeing how the rest of the world lives and sees things.
      Where have you lived? I am extremely interested in travelling in about six or seven years.

            OK, I'll bite.

            First I need to reel in my snide comments to iupgroundhog.

            My point, that I failed to convey sufficiently, is that if you are seeking a career as a US Football Coach / Player, taking a job in a European football league is not career enhancing. Yes, it will be a tremendous cultural experience,and financially rewarding too. The salary and perks mentioned exist for a reason - to attract potential coaches and players for hire. The job in and of itself is not enticing without the salary or perks. Just an opinion, not a sermon, or mandate for others to follow. Dropping it now.......

            Like in cards, you need to show your hand at the end.................

            Where have I lived? I'll group them by town and state - not chronology.
            • Hackensack, River Edge and Hainesville, NJ;
            • Lock Haven, Bethlehem, Indiana and Moon Township PA;
            • Radcliff, Kentucky;
            • Waynesville, Missouri;
            • Peachtree City, Georgia;
            • Woodbridge,Virginia;

            Internationally in:
            • Heilbronn, Germany
            • Einsiedlerhof, Germany
            • Bad Kreuznach, Germany

            Extended (months/years) work in:
            • Pormorski Poland;
            • Lviv, Ukraine;
            • Vincenza, Italy;
            • Larrissa, Greece;
            • Tirana, Albania;
            • Slovonski Brod, Croatia;
            • Baghdad, Iraq;
            • Kabul, Afghanistan;
            • Alberta, Canada;

            Traveled / vacationed throughout
            • France;
            • Switzerland;
            • Belgium;
            • Luxembourg;
            • Denmark;
            • England,
            • Alberta, Montreal, Canada;
            • Hawaii;
            • Austria;
            • Nevada
            • Arizona;
            • California;

            I am probably missing a few, but you get the idea. Very fortunate to have lived in many places; lived and worked with many different peoples and cultural backgrounds; in and among a vast array of social environments. Each has left a small imprint upon me and how I now view live and situations.

              Peace, my brother.

              But when you accuse me of parochialism I have to let you know that when I hear Johnny Cash singing "I've been everywhere" I think he wrote that song about me. It's a big world out there and I certainly hope to see more of it before I'm done.

                I thought he was cleared at Baylor...but I havent followed it closely. But I'd say most if not all D1 P5 head coaches are (probably) at least half a scumbag.

                  I believe Briles might be a special quality of scumbag.
