Week 6 Dog of the Week... Don't like to repeat teams or pick against my own interests, but the only obvious selection for a team that might do better or even pull off an upset is GANNON. Ordinarily I wouldn't pick GU to do well against CAL who has beaten them 10-11 frequently by lopsided scores. But their performance vs IUP and my less than impressed feeling about the VULCANS offense leads me to believe this could be uncomfortable if not a disaster. After five games against teams with a cumulative 7-17 record the offense has 16 TDs and 11FGs. Comparable stats for top PSAC teams indicate they punch it in rather than settle...SHEP 30TD/2FG, SRU 29TD/3FG, WCU 23TD/1FG. Time will tell.

Mercyhurst

Lock Haven (+42.5) ... Shepherd should win big, but their defense gives up drives and points. Just enough in this one to help Lock Haven cover the spread.

West Chester ... a matchup between two teams trying to still define their proximity to the top PSAC-East teams vs the middle tier. The Raiders are in the middle of a tough three-game stretch and the Golden Rams have a chance to kick 'em while they are down.

Kutztown

Clarion (+35.5) ... too tempting of a spread to pass up.

Slippery Rock

East Stroudsburg

Notre Dame (OH) ... I wouldn't be surprised if Frostburg wins this game. Although the Falcons have more to fight for since Frostburg isn't post-season eligible. Huge implications for the MEC championship--and playoff hopes for NDC.

Ashland ... OH Dominican could be undefeated--had Shepherd on the ropes in Week 1. But they could also be 2-3--each of their wins have been very close. Perhaps the scales tip in the favor of their opponent this week.
