Best start to an ESU season since Jimmy T. was a sophomore. First time ESU beat both WCU and Bloom in the same season since 1991. That's pretty good.

Region 1 is Slimey and 6 teams that wouldn’t make the playoffs in any other region and Slimey will be run off the field in the national semis if they don’t choke the regional rounds.

Two very low hurdles this season.

It is strange to see ESU gain more rushing yards and Bloom more passing yards. ESU playing smash mouth football on offense under Jimmy T. is unexpected.

I, fortunately, remembered an hour before kickoff that I still needed to make my picks. I’m happy to get what I get considering I was close to going 0-15 this week.

isn't that the 1st time IUP lost to the Hill?

ESU is on pace to have one their best rushing seasons in school history. Their rushing defense is ranking in the top 5 in school history. It's quite a team he's put together.

Again. We watched 2 separate games. Bloom was running the ball late 4th on that ESU front. ESU did a nice job but it wasn't like you were getting huge chunk plays on the ground....also how many sacks by ESU today if you were so dominating. Using words like "punish" shows your ESU bias. Which is fine but just wasn't the case. The score was the score and good by ESU to get the win but It was never going to be 35 -16. You were 1 possession away from losing.

                  • I think ESU is a legit team, play really good defense, run and pass well, just the 2 announcers act like the viewer never seen a football game in their life.

                    • I'm sure no one on this bd cares but Gannon beat MercyWorst 31-28 by a FG with 6 sec left. Typical backyard brawl.
That put GU ahead of IUP in the standings. Showdown next week at IUP.
While pulling for GU I expect IUP to win at home.

If they can manage a win vs Shippensburg Saturday, it will only be the second time ESU has defeated West Chester, Bloomsburg and Shippensburg in the same season in the history of ESU football. They first accomplished the feat in 1927...

But I believe a ton of players will be jumping into the transfer portal since we all know Tort will be blaming the players for the season.
How is Tort safe? Been there for 28 years and not been in the 'chip.... The gauntlet was laid down and he didn't grab it.

What "chip" are you talking about? I'm not here to defend Tort. Honestly, it doesn't affect my team one bit whether or not Tort is at IUP. However, he did win the PSAC Championship last season and was in the Regional title game just last year. Are you talking about the National Championship? If you are, then sweet summer child, you need to learn the reality of SR1 and the other regions in D2.

I don't believe their run defense has given up a 100 yards in a game all season. Is that right? Their starting qb looked like he hurt his shoulder; that could be a difference maker against some better teams.

Winning SR1 has to occur before getting to the chip. Start there and consistently win then we can talk about NC.

The expectation when given the reigns was he would improve on what Curt did. He is just a replica of Tepper.
