I gotta side with Coach Prime and his guy here. That text conversation was fishy. Dare I say, catfishy.

Now that most recruiting takes place over text and DM, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.

Not that this is or isn't related to the article...

I read something last week that indicated that Deion and his staff have not done a single home visit with a recruit since taking the Colorado job.

I read that, too. His circus is quite possibly going to get stomped in Week 1 against NDSU.

I’m amazed any Power 5 team is still willing to play NDSU. A win does nothing for you and there’s a fairly good chance you won’t win.

I think at this point, there is a motivation for teams (who think they have something to prove) to go out and stomp (or just beat) the FCS Cinderella. It does nothing for you from a metrics standpoint, but some of those powerful FCS teams like NDSU are household names now and it is newsworthy when they lose. I'd have to go back and look, but every time NDSU seems to line up against an FBS team, the betting line is razor thin and the entire world is rooting for the Bison. The other appeal is people are probably talking about your team leading up to that game (like we are doing right now).

Deion Sanders isn't my cup of tea. But he's a showman and promoter, if anything. He'll get far more viewers, clicks, and people talking about his team if they play NDSU compared to if they played the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks that week.

I bet Vegas loves these games too. Thursday night in week 1 of the CFB season. I bet that's one of the most popular games to bet on.
