Shepherd/East Stroudsburg reaches halftime, and the host Warriors lead 14-0.
The Rams played some good defense after the second ESU touchdown, but the Warriors' defense was also stout. East Stroudsburg now has not given up a point in their last 6 quarters.
After a long kickoff return to the ESU 30 yard line to open the 2nd half, Shepherd's offense does its job and scores their first points of the game, cutting East Stroudsburg's lead to 14-7 early in the 3rd quarter.
In PSAC-adjacent action, Mercyhurst defeated Lincoln (Calif.) 66-0. Lincoln, of course, is that independent program that some have called the Bishop Sycamore of college football.
IMO, at the moment (post-Shepherd game) I'd say it is more likely ESU moves up into a top 4 seed and gets a 1st round home game than falls out of the playoff field entirely.
