OMG . . Herb has a sense of humor? "I always seem to follow tall people!" Adjusting the mic 6" above his head.

Goff was speaking to the administration, but you can tell he still has the 'deer in the headlights'look.

He is going to continue the tradition, I have no doubt.
Definitely. I think he is excited to be here.

He's like a kid on Christmas morning. He's excited to be coming back home.

      So is his wife.

Coach Goff has been handed a loaded gun to go hunting with (18 of 22 starters coming back).

A number of his old teammates from the Mumme days were on hand at the press conference. Sean Pender was there. Former All American and All Conference player still holds the VSU record for most catches in a game (20) and most catches in a season (121).

BTW, Goff was part of our first ever conference championship football team. We've had a few championships since.

Is Goff related to former UGA HC Ray Goff?

Wasn't able to attend this morning, but I did hear some of his teammates were in attendance and wondered which ones.

Yep. So players, the man upstairs was looking after you all along. Circumstances were set in motion long before we all knew what was happening.

I just hope he don't abandon our running game some coaches are so pass happy they tend to abandon a running game and you need balance as we saw in our team last year and some games the run was so dominant there was no reason to pass it. I wish him well and I hope everything works out I knew many people wanted Russ as coach but good luck Coach Goff.

If he's a coach worth a darn (which I believe he is), he'll see/know about the talented backfield that VSU has. He should be inclined to use it as much as he can.

This will all depend on how well VSU can plug the holes left on the offensive line, namely at center.

Gonna be an interesting year of GSC football, as always.
                          Go GSC and Roar LIONS!!

Somebody said they say Larold talking with Goff. He use to be a center in high school.
Of course, they used leather helmets back then. But, he's added weight !!
