Smart! Good on UWF. VSU should start asking question, too.

With all of the moving up / ASUN chatter going on these days, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if Conference Carolinas is now holding off on any potential scheduling alliance offers with the GSC.

CC and the SIAC have created a scheduling agreement.

Smart and creative agreement, especially for Conference Carolinas.

Doesn't GSC's agreement with CC end in 2025?

I was looking at a list of D2 basketball national champs last night and didn't realize that four of them were in the ASUN last season!

              UNA - 1979, 91
Jax State - 1985 (now in CUSA)
Kennesaw State - 2004 (headed to CUSA next season)
              Bellarmine - 2011
              Go GSC and Roar LIONS!!

I don't think there's an agreement between the conferences. I think the agreement is between the GSC, and Erskine and Chowan.

                I could be wrong.

They haven't won a title but Queens (NC) was a Southeast regional mainstay too!

Yes! Queens competes well in men’s basketball in the ASUN.

Correct. CC hasn't started playing football yet, so Erskine and Chowan are in the GSC until CC football launches in 2025.

That would make sense for Week 11, but I have to wonder where this leaves the remaining GSC football schools, especially if/when West Florida and/or Valdosta end up moving up to FCS.

If DSU, MC, and UWA went to the GAC as affiliates in football, I wonder if the NCAA would use that as an opportunity to move the GAC to SR2? SR2 has the fewest teams of any current D2 region.

I don't think so. I do not have anything to support this but my gut, but if it seems like an idea that would kind of make sense and it involves the NCAA.....lol
