The RMAC OOC schedule showed that it was down, pretty easy to see the results and acknowledge the conference didn't show well in many of those games. Watching Mines @ WT for example, it certainly didn't look like either team was superior. Mines got hot at the right time and looked great against Angelo, which I said was much deserved in that thread. SR4 wasn't great this year and it was missing that one dominant team that could win it all. More parity is fun to watch of course rather than seeing Mankato or Commerce in the semifinals, but it doesn't mean the region is better for it. Of course Mines is pretty good, they've been pretty good for several years and I've complimented them for their program having the success it has on numerous occasions and will continue to do so when warranted.
That said, this current point spread was about what I expected from this game... it just took a bit longer to get there than I figured. Valdosta is simply very talented, experienced, and athletic. Not many D2 teams are going to go on the road and beat them.
