  • Miles at UWA with a slew of former NFL stars coaching Miles

Looks like former Bama safety star and nfl player Sam Shade is the HC, former AU great DB Chris Shelling, Antonio Langham also from Bama and our own GSC star Ronald McKinnon from UNA all coaching Miles. UWA might be in for a hurting this Saturday. If your into former nfl and college stars autographs, you may want to attend and sit on visitor side.

Hopefully they won't let them play, but
throw in Coach Gilligan and you may be right.

      Larold,

Come on over to the BL Memorial pickem thread and join the fun. You can still pick the rest of week 1 games, including the West Ala. v Miles game.

Flipped it over to the UWA game now that the VSU game is over. Let’s get it Tigers.
Go Blazers, Braves , Falcons, Hawks and Jackets!

If UWA can kick a field goal they should have this one.

I would say it helped. They took UWA to the wire! Looks like a hard fought close game.

Thanks GNB. Well, it was ugly. Same offense as last year. Very dull. Also lost the starter QB, not sure for how long. defense looks good still, except for secondary, they gave up some big plays. Our kicker is legit though of course he was good late last season. Congrats to you all on a big victory. Looks like the GSC did well this weekend.

Didn’t realize you lost the starting qb, makes it more impressive. The backup led them down for the game winner.

                          Our passing totals tonight:
8 of 23 for 133 yds, 1 TD, and 1 INT for a 35% completion %. We did rush for 187 yds. I just have to hope and pray that Miles is a top 10 defensive team this year. Maybe with that all star coaching staff, they are, and we'll be okay. We shall see. We have Tusculum next Sat. at home.

When I was able to flip over and watch it was in the 4th quarter. When did the starting qb go down?

Wasn't pretty, but WAY better than FLOSPORTS. Technical Issues(DSU game Thursday and again tonight.) Canceled my renewal during game
