    2 additional options

    1) Former Eagle coach Nick Reveiz is now the DC at Charleston Southern. He is a tenacious recruiter.
    2) Former Eagle QB Joey King the current head football coach at Carrolton High School in GA. He has coached at USF and Coastal Carolina at the collegiate ranks. King coached Trevor Lawrence and was the fastest coach in GA history to win 100 games. Lawrence credits him for his success

Both were influenced by Ken Sparks and they check the boxes for the love of the game and having players succeed on and off the field.

They both look like very good potential options. Again, time is of the essence as signing day will be here before we know it. I hope a new coach is hired for all the right reasons.

      HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Please remember the reason for the season.

Wow!! I’m so excited for CN fans if this is true from Matt and Football Scoop! Some UNA fans thought he might be a top contender to get the UNA job last year. He’s from the Golden Era of Lions Football.

Carson-Newman (D-II - TN): Sources confirm to FootballScoop that Navy assistant head coach / offensive line coach Ashley Ingram is set to become the new head coach at Carson-Newman. Matt Zenitz has shared the same. Ingram spent the last 16 years with the Midshipmen.

          Go GSC and Roar LIONS!!

Does this mean CN will be running the Flexbone?

This could mean the return of the split back veer. Navy runs the triple option with the QB under center.

Bingo! My thoughts exactly. The triple option was UNA’s bread and butter during the three-peat he was a part of.

                From his Navy bio:

A native of Iron City, Ga., and a 1996 graduate of the University of North Alabama, Ingram was a four-year letterman on the offensive line and helped his team win Division II national titles in 1993, 1994 and 1995. He entered the coaching ranks as a graduate assistant, first at North Alabama in 1997, then at Temple University in the spring. After spending a year at NorthCobb High School in Kennesaw, Ga., in 1998, he became the offensive line coach at the University of West Alabama in 1999, then at Rhode Island in 2000.
                Go GSC and Roar LIONS!!
