Ouachita tailgating?

Me and LUFan2 will be heading down tomorrow for the game. What's the scoop on pregame festivities? Is there much of an atmosphere? Are outsiders welcome?

Dry campus? Keep it in a cup? Etc.....

Pretty good atmosphere in my biased opinion. Here is a good collection of maps, FAQs, etc of the stadium - https://obutigers.com/sports/2014/10...001145246.aspx. OBU is technically a dry campus, so I wouldn't be bringing bottles or cans around, but the campus police aren't going to be checking your cups unless they think you are underage or obviously drunk or belligerent. If you have kids the CubZone will have 2-3 inflatables before and during the game. The maps will show where it is. I'm pretty sure you can go get food at the big tailgating tent in the parking lot before the game, though you might get a double take or two :-)

Probably the best idea would be to get together with other LU folks and pick a spot in the General Parking (as opposed to Stadium Parking) beforehand to set up. FYI, the General Parking is not paved - only crushed rock, and it's been raining a lot today. Expect wet/mushy. For games like this there is almost never enough parking so getting there early is key. Dress warm. The high will only be 42 Saturday!

Most definitely a dry campus. Lol. Outsiders are more than welcome I'm sure. After last weeks game, I'm not certain what to expect as far as atmosphere. It was unreal last week with the rivalry. but I think it will be a pretty decent atmosphere. We only have 1500 students so I'm not certain how we compare but I think it's pretty good. Yall be safe and we hope you have plenty of fun as our quests. At least until the game starts. Haha

We made the trek down from Michigan last year to watch them play Ferris. Awesome game day atmosphere, great stadium and VERY friendly people. Everyone went out of their way to welcome and greet us! As stated above, we had a great tailgate, even chatted with a couple of local law officers who were also very friendly. Have fun this weekend everybody, we will be watching from Big Rapids!! Go Dawgs!
