I was wondering about this, too. Coach Monica was a long-term Wallace assistant, so I watched his career.

But, I was mainly keeping an eye out because Delta State's coach is an alumnus.

I had heard Cooley's name mentioned. He's liked by Mullins as well (played QB for him). Still, heard nothing firm yet...

I cannot confirm all the names of the candidates yet. I am hoping to find out more this week. I cannot confirm his name at this time.

MIAA board has posted the following names:

Higgins (Emporia State)
Partridge (Delta State formerly at MWSU)
Atterberry (SEOSU)

Not sure where the names came from other than the MIAA board...

FWIW I have heard him mentioned down here in Arkadelphia as well. Not that that makes it any more true or false, just that the rumor has spread further than Russellville.

Not sure what they are offering, or what would have to happen in Emporia that would entice Higgins into a lateral move, so I doubt that one most of all?
