Houston seems to have a good gig going with CBSSports. I was going to say he has probably never heard of ATU but that was during the split second I had temporarily forgotten about my good old HS buddies Dennis and Danny.Comment

Do you think Higgins is the type to use the threat of leaving to get either 1) himself a raise or 2) the University to invest more resources into the FB program? I have no idea if he is, but it's what seems the most logical to me.Comment

Yeah, it was only a momentary absent-mindedness. Danny was an assistant here about 20 years ago and, of course, Dennis coaches against us at least twice a year. Houston has attended the basketball tournament in Bartlesville also. I didn't know he applied at OBU.Comment

I can confirm that Higgins (Emporia State) pulled his name from consideration Friday.
