IDK. Pitt slowed them down a little Making them dink and dunk it intead of going deep. Pitt ate clock most of the game, and ran UCM'S own go fast offense against them at other times in that game.
sustained drives don't mean much to ucm.

Yeah playing keep away helps your D stay a little fresher,, but you nearly need to score every time or it plays into their hands.

They do have a good team. It’s gonna be tough. Looking forward to it though. Like you’re saying the Reddies will need to do their share of scoring.

I hope you’re too. I’m hoping we hang with them and make a game out of it. Like I’ve been saying, it’s gonna be tough. I like our young QB. He’s gonna help the Reddies. He’s been a joy to watch.

I kind of hope to see a 2nd round game between Harding and UCM. No offense to Henderson, but the Harding and UCM offenses are such polar opposites that I think it would be really fun to watch.

From what I’ve seen this season the GAC looks weaker than it’s been in past years. Harding lit it up but IMO the competition is weaker on the whole. Just kind of an eye test thing, it’s hard when we have a SILO conference because there’s nothing to compare to.

Agree that due to silo scheduling all we have are eye tests. Using the eye test and comparing stats between the 2017 Harding team, that won Region 3, and this year’s team I’d have to say this year’s team is ever bit as talented on defense and faster at the slots than the 2017 team. Whether or not the GLIAC and the MIAA are better or worst than they have been in previous years remains to be seen. Harding will learn a lot from watching the Henderson-UCM game.

I think they are better this year, yes. And a good bit better on O. I think it’s HU’s best team. We’ll see how that translates in the coming weeks.

It has been mentioned over in the MIAA thread on UCM vs. HSU. There are many more overlapping personnel between those two programs.
