UIndy got a punt return for a touchdown to blow open the game. Greyhounds 34 Hillsdale 24 Final
I feel for you chargerblue BUT, the UIndy win is better for us - now, if you were still in the GLIAC I would have been pulling for you regardless, but your not, so I didn't
Zero appearances in the national championship game.
Annese doesn't have a national title game appearance either, but I don't think anyone at Ferris thinks he should be fired.
We all get it. You miss the days of BK and Chuck and being the powerhouse everyone shoots for every year. But I feel like you don't understand that D-II as a whole has gone under a complete overhaul in the last decade or so. When GV was rolling over everyone, there were maybe five schools in the country that actually cared about their D-II football program. Now there's multiple schools pumping money in to their programs, while GV was already previously at the top of the heap. They are at, and have been at, the ceiling. Other schools have just now caught up. And whether you like him or not, TA is one of the 10 best coaches in college football, regardless of level. And he happens to be in our conference, which poses a bigger problem than GVSU faced in the 15 years before he got there. Not every school can have that coach. We have a fine coach, and he puts us in a position to win every single game of the year. To actively try and get rid of that seems crazy considering what the odds would be on the return of whoever you would replace him with. Ok, go ahead and get rid of MM, and then what happens? Who are you going to poach that you feel is better? Because anyone better is not going to be let go by their school, or they're aiming for a D1 job already.

Ferris doesn't have anywhere near the expectations that GV and their fan base does. You can be ok with mediocrity. Doesn't mean the rest of us have to be.

The fact is, we have more talent and depth than virtually any team in D2 and our unimaginative play calling, poor clock management, and general inflexibility are what prohibit us from being the perennial power we were.

I just don't understand how some people seem to think it is possible to maintain 14-0 and 13-1 every single year of your life. The same people that are upset at 6-5 are also still upset at 10-1.
