Okay Kle, for those of us who have spent our entire lives living in the South, what’s a grinder?Originally posted by KleShreen View Post
I'm a frequent visitor to Big Rapids, but still, every time I go, I end up getting a grinder from Mancinos. I try and stop at Mancinos whenever I'm in a Michigan college town, since that's where most of them seem to be lol.

Only team to beat Harding in 2 seasons kept them under 20.. obviously no Harding or Ferris keyboard king has predicted that on here despite the big talk of Ferris defense. So even though everyone in the country knows that Harding is going to run the ball, and run it again, and when they are done with that they will run again (say all the frustrated fans who have faced Harding)
I take the Bisons 27-17.

FSU 31 HU 28 - Ferris wins the coin flip and defers to 2nd half - scores on with 30 seconds in 1st half and comes out with a TD to start the 3rd Quarter 14 point swing. 33 degrees and cloudy!!! great football weather this time a year. Hopefully the visitor's heaters work this time. Sometimes broken....

Harding 38 Ferris 17Originally posted by BisonOL View PostHow about some honest score predictions??? No one on either side give me we’re gonna win by 30+ because both sides know that’s not gonna happen. Although both offenses are strong I don’t think either team is going to have an off explosion . I see this being game of the yr. Gotta go with my Bisons and say 27-24. But if went the other way wouldn’t be shocked. I believe these are the best two teams in the nation both at the top of their game right now and is pretty much a coin flip.
Harding has a chip on their shoulder, you could tell in the GVSU game that they’re coming back for the crown, they’ve had that swag to them since Ouachita, but it’s even more apparent in the post-season. This game could be 14-7 or 59-52 but I don’t see that happening. Harding O comes out with a day, and defense lets some big plays through just due to athletes on Ferris’ side, but overall plays well.
Game Predictions:
Harding 400+ rushing yards
Ferris under 150 rushing
Ferris under 200 passing
Harding gets a turnover early and capitalizes

I think both teams will put up points, but if Harding controls the tempo by scoring quickly or slowly, I think that changes "How" many points each team scores. I think Ferris will be able to score alongside Harding, but if Harding has long drives, the score is low; if they have big plays, they both will score a lot. I say the difference will be one score. If I had to guess I think Ferris' D bends but doesn't break, giving the game's score to be 35-27 good guys.

There’s some context. We’re discussing Flexbone personnel.Originally posted by Searcy View Post
Is he better than Gerald Payne was? Having watched them both in person, I might give you best slotback, but not best perimeter player overall.

I’m with ya. I don’t think it’s one stand out player. Even though Jay is likely the best perimeter player we’ve ever had. I asked Pred that question because I disagreed with his take about 1 stand out player required to be a contender.

I predict the winner will be the team that can play on a ice covered field the best. We are supposed to get 10 inches of snow which Ferris will remove about 9 3/4 inches of it and then let it freeze. Advantage to a passing offense on that field and hard for running backs to cut on the pitch for Harding. That said I am taking Harding 38-35 and that the Harding AD will not have to tear up and apologize this week in the post game. Wish everyone safe travels to and fro. Does anyone know which conference crew will be doing the game?
