Emporia State posted their schedule and host Michigan Tech on 9/12. https://esuhornets.com/news/2026/2/1...-schedule.aspx
Midwestern State is also rumored to be playing at Michigan Tech.

How did you find that?

Tech published their schedule this week also, confirming the suspected Week 1 game against Midwestern State. At Bemidji, home for Midwestern, at Emporia, home for Upper Iowa is one bi***hin' noncon slate. Love to see it. Tech was traditionally a school that was totally fine playing only ten games and they have been OK even throwing D3's in there when necessary. Putting this line-up together no doubt took a ton of work and they deserve credit.

Ohhh I gotcha haha. Because there's so many D2-FCS games and D2-NAIA games each year, to track all the D2 non-conference games, I end up tracking a lot of the FCS and NAIA schedules by default as well (D3 too, but there's far less D2-D3 games, so I don't follow it nearly as closely).Originally posted by Brandon View Postno i meant how did you search for it to find it?I'm sure you didn't just search random naia school schedules to stumble upon that.
Certain NAIA conferences schedule D2 games more often than others, so I keep an eye out for when those schools' schedules get released. The conference KCU is in, for example, is pretty weak and only has 7 members. As a result, they play a lot of non-conference buy games all over the place, including against D2 schools, so I check for their schedule releases pretty often.

Having the "Week 0" option to allow for 11 games in 12 weeks probably helps Michigan Tech in that regard. Wasn't there some sort of academic related event at MTU that took place during their open date or am I misremembering?Originally posted by Tony Nicolette View PostTech published their schedule this week also, confirming the suspected Week 1 game against Midwestern State.
