i was certainly shocked but, Dorell made a great call. not sure Herl could have pulled it off. there was a remarkable difference in the defense when Herl went in. the bench went nuts and the fans were loud when he went in..
if the D would have played the whole game like they did when Herl went in, we would have been in some serious trouble.

that game was truly MOSO losing the game. i don't think I've ever seen anyone take a knee on second down inside the 10-yard line with 30+ seconds left and your RBs are averaging what seemed like 10 yards per carry in the 4th quarter. puzzling but it worked.

if we would have had that blocked with no time on the clock, i would have lost it.

very bad groin injury. no word on him for sure but he is heavily rehabbing it and should be a medical redshirt.

You saw a MOSO run d? I sure didn't see one. We have been very weak there all year. NW exploited it the first game, and now UCO has. Our defense is way down from last year.

Poor defensive effort by the Lions. UCO's offense dominated the second half, controlling the ball and running thru Southern's defense. If this team is going to win more than one game the remainder of the year, the defense really has to step up. Started 3-1 last year, and ended up 4-7. Hope we don't have a repeat of last year. Must fix the tackling issues and get tougher on defense. UCO took it to our defense in the second half.

Glad to see Nathan Glades back today. Very good starting running backs for both teams.

Nice throw by Sampson that was dropped by Cooper, but we still moved down for a FG to go up 17-10 at the half. Go Lions!

Our starting QB would now be third team at UCO. But he has played pretty well this year. Very happy with our starting QB so far.

well, not much to say about this season for sure.
i got to tell you though, I'm pretty happy with the way the whole team has played OVERALL. we are extremely weak in the dback field no doubt about it but, the front 7 is about as solid as there is in the MIAA so far as I've seen personally. if you think about who we've lost in that front 7...none of these names will really mean anything to you but, we lost the number one tackler and starting safety from last year to an "incident" having to do with BAC, he would be a senior this year and may be a solid foundation for that back 4. the entire starting front 3 are gone from last year. the DE and DT to graduation and NG to a "mental struggle" and two other rotators on the line. starting MLB (freshman number 4 on the team in tackles) to transfer portal to go play d1 and the starting OLB to graduation. with all of that, they still managed to get things back together and continue to march forward. yes. i realize I'm a little biased in this thought process and losses do happen to EVERY. team, but i think it's a fair assessment of them a high percentage of them will be playing there at least 1 more year. many of them will be multiyear players.

i think anyone that has played against us this year will agree we are MUCH more physical this year than we have been in the last 3 years.
we do have major brain farts and lack the ability to execute on offense sometimes, but we are moving the ball and moving it with authority.

overall, can't complain as of yet. we are still young at most positions on the field and always room for growth. unlike some of you teams out there, we return 80% of our team next year. and by the time some of our kids are done at UCO, they will have been on the field in excess of three years.

we lose one rotating Dlineman, 1 linebacker and 1 starting Dbacks . one olineman, the QB and a running back. everyone else that is a starter is slotted to return. we have 8 total seniors on this team.

dont feel sorry for us. we'll manage.
