Would be nice if the top didn’t have to knock themselves out round 1 and 2

Even more of a reason. While it appears esu and psu are solid (read really good football teams) but I don’t think either team is a championship quality team as we currently sit. Seasons young and it’s all about how you finish with that being said

I agree. 8 more weeks to get there.

I think UCM, MW, Southern, and Hays are all quite a bit better than last year. A down NW is still dangerous, too.

I think the team or teams who come out of that logjam will be pretty well seasoned, and a lot different than they were going in.

Yeah. I think once ESU, UCM, and PITT have all played each other, that will speak a little more volume to where both of those sit. Then the rest of the cream may rise or not while that is going on. Can’t really speak to much outside the MIAA until then either. I’m a firm believer in our conference still holding the throne hahaha. I’ll never admit we aren’t the best.

Idk? The conference was pretty down last year. Ferris and GV were definitely better than anything Pitt had seen recently. Quite a bit better, especially up front. Hopefully that gap can close this year.

Top to bottom toughest, as in the highest chance of a good team losing each week. I think the MIAA is the toughest, though. We won't know for sure until NW, ESU and all the other scumbags quit/ doing the silo BS.

Well NW tried to schedule a non-con but there reputation kept the schools who had Week 4 open from accepting, so they got stuck with Lincoln.

Doubt it was reputation. More of both sides unwilling to compromise.

True until you get to the word "but" BS gets deep after that.

I mean I know for a fact a couple schools weren’t interested because they didn’t want to take a loss and others weren’t willing to travel to Maryville.

I think that boils down to a willingness to compromise

What schools did NW offer to travel to only to be turned down because they were afraid? I'll bet there weren't any. If NW was willing to give up a home game, they wouldn't be playing Lincoln.

Who travels is what it normally boils down to. Teams need those home games to keep boosters and local businesses from losing money and getting mad at the school.

I honestly don't know what Pitt did to get USF to come down. I assume they had to pay them since the conference hadn't figured out a future schedule to let them do a home and home.

I definitely think most teams tried their hardest to get a game, but couldn't.

All that said, my original comment was about NW having voted to instate the silo in the first place and voted to keep it when others tried to overturn it. It had nothing to do with noncons this season.
