Biggest surprise is NW picked 3rd ahead of 2 teams that beat them last season. Reputation probably got them the pick but with 3 untested QB’s and an iffy OC sadly it may turn out to be too optimistic

At least we weren't picked last. With no Lincoln or Northeastern, we probably have the worst history. Hope we pull a few more surprises this year. MoWest getting no love since they lost to us last year.Originally posted by Predatory Primates View PostMW and MoSo getting no love.
 UCO getting unfounded love.

MoSo is well coached, imo. They have steadily improved. Leaning on the D one year, and the O the next. They'll put em both together eventually and be dangerous, imo.Originally posted by mosofan1 View Post

We ascended from the bottom before. Hopefully we can do it again.Originally posted by Wallst View PostI think the media is closer than the coaches. I have Western in front of NW and Southern in front of UCO.

Congrats UNK you are now the new Lincoln

This year has the potential to be one of the most exciting in a long time for the MIAA as a whole, doesn't it? Non-conference games are back and there is no Lincoln or Northeastern State available for a free conference win.

We're picked last coming off a 3-8 year but could easily have been at least 6-5. Coaches, players and fans have long called the MIAA the SEC of D2. Especially with the 10 teams now, I don't see how any other conference could claim to be stronger and more balanced top to bottom.

Hard to call it a free win in 2023. The UNK game with NSU last season was touchdown lead in the fourth quarter. Davis carried that game with an 8 1/2 minute drive.Originally posted by loper legionnaire View Post
