If they do that, they will need to go .500 against ESU, MW, MoSo, Hays, Pitt, and UCM to avoid a losing season.

NW has some pride left. They'll put up a fight, but they have no running game, so the Hays D can tee off on them most of the day. It could get ugly for the NW QB.

When it comes to our passing game, despite QB Ruhnke putting up some numbers with his passing, its not hard to see he is almost always hurried under pressure to get his passes off. This was an issue last season as well. It's not just an issue of OC Sturdy failing miserably, but OL Asst Coach Cunningham has been a failure developing a strong OL. Too many breakdowns with our OL when our QB gets the snap. Ruhnke deserves alot of credit for what he has accomplished getting his passes off. He deserves alot better. NW football deserves alot better.

After much thought and discussions with my family and the AD and President of NW I have decided to resign at the end of this year to spend more time with my family and take care of my mental and physical health. NW has been a family to me and Im proud to have been here for our many successes and been able to watch young men grow and succeed both on and off the field. Whoever fills these shoes I hope Bearcat Nation embraces them like they have me and my family and I wish each and every one of you the best. Rich Wright.

14-0 Hays 6 minutes in. Opening drive NW couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down. After 2 good runs by Porter TS takes him out and goes to the air and Runke throws an INT leading to short TD drive. Game over?
