Of the things I was forced to read, Shakespeare was a slog, but it was witty and exciting. Much better than Gatsby and Great expectations.

Hence the reason a NW fan was able to answer as well. Because can u call yourself a football school if your 4-4?

But I bet it feels good to be able to talk down toward an opponent again. I know it's been very hard on you all this year Having to look ahead to poor old NSU here in November to get enough wins to have a winning season .

I could see NW losing to NSU, then beating Pitt just because they're evil.

As crazy as that sounds, it’s plausible this season. Not likely, but plausible.

I liked the last 2. Robinson Caruso is probably my favorite of the required reading list. Maybe a tie with the Count of monte Cristo.

I thought that Penthouse and Playboy were of exceptional literature. I mean those articles could really get the big rig crankin

The fact that there’s been more literature discussion than football in this thread may be the truest reflection yet of the state of the Bearcat program.

Still have my Shakespeare volume from college. I haven’t touched it in many a year, but our friend from JWB State may have inspired me to get it off the shelf. Huck Finn was the single best book I was ever forced to read.

                    i think you mean possible.
which i agree with albeit highly unlikely.

Unfortunately, this is painful but true. Come the end of this season, there dang well better be a good ending to all this.

If you need some reading material, I recommend this 3 year old tragedy

Youngest Grandson’s team is in the semifinals of their Flag Football playoffs so we’ll be skipping another game. I was afraid I’d have to pay someone to take our tickets but luckily I just found someone to take them for free.

We’ve only been to 3 games this year but have seen 50% of their wins. Will miss next week due to a wedding in WI. If they are 6-4 on 11/15 we may decide to go the the Pitt @NW game

Pretty sad. When I say, "sad", I'm only referring that it seems to be the state of Bearcat Fans in general, especially NW Students. That Homecoming game was a pathetic sight with the live stream focused on that NW student/Visitors East Grandstand the whole game. You can always assure the West Grandstand (NW Alumni/Maryville Community fans) to be full, but never in my life would I have ever thought I would ever see the NW students NOT show up for a Homecoming game. It was barely 60% full. Stunned. Can't imagine how Bearcat players on the field and those standing on the sidelines having to look that direction all game long must have felt. What happened after halftime with the score tied NW 21 UCM 21, it was embarrassing for the players to come back on the field to see that at least half the students had decided to leave. Crazy.

Now comes Northeastern State to town. A team NW has clobbered in past years. Now NW fans are in doubt about maybe even coming away with a win.

It would have been interesting to see an over/under guess with attendance at Bearcat Stadium this game day. I wouldn't even have the heart to take a stab at it. Think it's going to be overwhelmingly embarrassing. That East Grandstand featuring NW students ... don't even want to go there with a guess. Thank God the Bearcat Marching Band will be there.

Bearcat Stadium seated 4572 football fans on Homecoming vs Central Missouri ... 4572 (sigh).

Northeastern State this game day. Over/Under anyone? ... anyone? (crickets)

Not a good sign bearcat fans . Gotten a little spoiled over the decades and now can't handle a little adversity. Heck even if JWBSU doesn't win but keep it under 14 if seems the NW fans will scream about the sky falling .

Can't lie I thought you all had more fight than this

Cold rainy non con game 4-4 team vs 2-6 team. NW women play in St Joe. No sign of any campers around 6:00 pm last night. I’ll put the over/under at 3,000 actual attendance but paid will be higher due to unused tix.
