  • Washburn @ UCO

I have always said Washburn is the most overrated program in the MIAA. I can’t say that this year because it seems like they’ve been written off (for good reason).

Seems like they still have a fairly potent passing attack which they could exploit UCO with. The blocking seems subpar though so hopefully our pass rush just gets home before they can get the ball out.

I’m not sure there are any Washburn people left on the board to discuss with this week.

Weird game against Mines, headlined by the fact it took 78 hours to play 4 quarters. Defense plays hard, got gashed by two huge runs but overall there are some decent pieces. Backers are legit. The offense has potential but its been ugly the last couple weeks. We've been outscored 30-0 in the 1Q this year, so we're playing from behind all game, defense looks worse because its constantly defending a short field. The running game isn't just bad, it doesn't even exist.

Second QB came in against Mines, no idea if the plan is to rotate or make a switch or what. Kid gets it out quickly at least.

Don't think anyone would predict a win. Last year's team was bad and put up a real fight at home in this matchup, so the hope is to play a respectable game at least.

UCO is pretty banged up after the Pitt game. I really think the D-line getting adequate pressure will be key for us. As usual, our secondary is quite suspect.
