Scheduling is not near as easy to do when you are coming off of a 12-1 season with a National Quarterfinals appearance. From what I heard, it was a struggle just to find 1 Non-Conference D2 game to get to 9.

Yes, last year we had to move our Kingsville game to week 1 and pay Lock Haven to come to Commerce mid-season. This year we are still open for week 1, though we do have 10 D2 games scheduled.

Lonn wasn't about to let his masterpiece be unveiled with anything but a win. If TSU goes 10-1 and misses the playoffs for some reason, it will be well worth it for that 1st game in the new stadium to be a win.

SFA, Commerce and MSU will be tough. Should win the rest of the games.

True, and if the game becomes a blowout by halftime the fans can admire the stadium.

Re: Update on Tarleton Football Stadium

They are returning quite a few starters from what I can tell from my very brief look into them as well as a new coach. Did finish a close game against Commerce but that might have been more Commerce falling asleep for the second half on offense. Still not all that concerned.

I think a mix of a make up for last year and seat the SLC, plus the money wouldn't hurt.

Yeah, but I think all the seats are taken.

The SLC is regularly one of the bottom conferences in Division I across most sports. Football was far more balanced in 2018, but no one team stood out and made a run in the playoffs like the last few years. I don't see the SFA game as anything more than Whitten playing his alma mater and Reisman trying to move up from the kid's table to the adult's table at Thanksgiving lunch. Tarleton has played an SLC team several times over the past decade or two, so I wouldn't read much into that.

                              $$$$$$$$

As much as they've talked about D1, they've got to look attractive for the next round of realignment
