  • After 7 Games Playoff Rankings

I believe next week Regional Rankings will be released. I think this week is their practice round. There was definitely some shakeup. TX A&M Commerce fans, do not panic as I see you jumping back into the mix at the end.

    *Games to Watch*:

This poll is using the statistics that the NCAA identifies: D2 %, SOS, D2 Road, D2 vs.500, In Region % then there are bonuses given for In region wins and penalties for losses. (This formula was fairly close to final from last year).:

Based on our schedule the rest of the way, I'm assuming we will end up getting in at the back end.

Just looking at who is playing who this week.

West Texas A&M's SOS should dip a little.
TX A&M Commerce SOS should dip a little.
Tarleton State SOS will dip this week, bump next week vs MSU and then drop for the rest of the season.

Crazy, but Minnesota State and Duluth look to be on track up to this point to have exactly the same schedules. (I wish I could make that up but across the board, their numbers are the same.)

        Yes, I agree.

If Tarleton beats Midwestern as of right now, it will be:

Using NCAA formula with guess on weighted average: (This will be tweaked each week after they release their official ranking).

        4.) Tarleton State
        6.) Central Washington
        7.) TX A&M Commerce - Fliped due to H2H
        8.) Midwestern State

W%, SOS, vs. Road, IR W%

        3.) Tarleton State
        6.) TX A&M Commerce
7.) Midwestern State - This spot could come down to Common Opponents (West Texas A&M) or if the committee decided to flip Central Wash and Midwestern.
        8.) Central Washington
        9.) Azusa Pacific

        If Midwestern beats Tarleton:

Using NCAA formula with guess on weighted average: (This will be tweaked each week after they release their official ranking).

        5.) Midwestern - No flip
        6.) Tarleton State
        7.) Central Washington
        8.) TX A&M Commerce

W%, SOS, vs. Road, IR W%

        5.) Midwestern State
        6.) Tarleton State
        7.) TX A&M Commerce
        8.) Central Washington
        9.) Azusa Pacific

With what they did last year the committee is very hesitant to leave a conference out. If CWU ends up at 8 id bet they get pushed to 7th. Only way they dont end up in is if they lose again, the numbers just wont let them get close enough to bounce them in.
I have fat thumbs sorry for typos!

I agree Midwestern is in a tough situation with a loss to Tarleton. They could get bumped due to H2H or not get in due to the committee not wanting to leave a team out.

If MW loses to TSU, then all eyes should be on how W Fla finishes up. If they win out no way should MW be left out for C Wash who has gotten fat on the likes of Humboldt, S Frazier, and W Oregon. Seriously!!!

I agree but they really hate leaving out a conference

MSU has a very good team, but I can't imagine them beating Tarleton. It's their year.

Actually that's not gonna happen. Danny Woodhead will save us all.

Our region could potentially end up with 4 undefeated teams: Duluth, Mankato, Mines and Tarleton.
Then that leaves 3 spots. A good team is clearly going to get left out of our region this season. You have CSUP, Commerce, Central Washington, and Midwestern battling for 3 spaces. Did I leave anyone out?

                              APU

And the Cougars can do some damage and change the playoff picture by beating Mines this weekend.
