So far ASU is loading up on DB and LB. A couple of QBs and WRs thrown in just for fun.

They lost the most years of experience at those 2 positions. I think the lbs group was the strength of that defense this past yr. And both safeties are gone. It will fun to see new kids in those positions to see what happens.

Rumor is that the shooter is a signee for WT. Again, only rumors.

Sad how stupid mistakes can ruin a potentially great young life.

His teammates have signed to Texas, Clemson and another is going D1, they say he was the most talented kid of all of those and you sign with a WTAM is already ared flag , (offers from Baylor, Georgia Tech, Kansas for Football ) as you can see its not a grades issue with this kid..... i. Usually when a kid gets in trouble he would transfer from a D1 to a d2 school. But he was already starting at a D2 school. Thank god the young lady was just shot in the ankle and not a worse situation. His athletic career is over as it looks like that was his only chance at a higher education. College could have changed his whole outlook on life and been a stepping stone for a great future.

If the kid has talent he will get a shot (no pun intended) if he cleans up his act. Won't be at a Texas Tech but a year at D2/NAIA and then on to the transfer portal.

Yes! As long as you had talent, nothing else mattered. That's all Lonn Reisman, AD. (Former basketball HC) cared about.

Reisman's ultimate goal was to get Tarleton basketball to D1, no matter what it took. He didn't care about any other sport, still doesn't. He accomplished his goal.

Not defending this by any means but doing time may not be a slam dunk? From what I read the gun went off in the bag not physically in his possession. Seems like a good lawyer could negotiate probation.

I just read about Jayron Kearse, Dallas Cowboy safety, who had a great year this past season. Seems like when he was 14 he was involved in an armed robbery with a couple 17 year olds. He spent time in a juvenile facility, the older boys went to prison.

Today, he is married with 3 kids, a solid citizen, and very capable professional footballer. Is there something to be learned from his story?
