It is no small thing to lose your father at 16 and yet still keep it together to get the opportunity to play college ball for a program like WT. There are tragedies in this world and sometimes folks beat the odds and not just beat them but achieve great things. Andrew is one if those stories, he could have given into his grief, quit playing, dropped out, whatever and NOBODY would have blamed him. But he didn't.
His dad died November 25th from Covid, Andrew played and lost the playoff game that year on the 13th, his Dad had been in the hospital most of that month. Andrew was a bright spot on that team that game despite his team losing he played very well.
Its not odd to point out exceptional achievement especially against terrible tragedy.I have fat thumbs sorry for typos!
