1st time in university history. Very exciting for all connected to Angelo State. Having a LSC MEN'S team win a Natty!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Maybe I should pursue another grad degree and get it from Angelo so I CAN become an Alum and have a personal connection. 😂

Great things happening with Angelo's Men's Sports. They are on top in the big 3 sports. Amazing!!!!

Softball starts its fall schedule around this time, and baseball likely does too.

Each year people jump to the conclusions that the other sports threads become active because of poor performance of a football team. Assuming I’m still alive in the event a McBroom football coach is successful I’ll still be posting in the softball thread in the fall.

So, this has been an ongoing thing since the Carthels were fired and WT built an on campus stadium. There were a lot of politics involved that drove WT supporters away and or/caused ongoing debates about WT football. The few WT posters that remain pretty much threw their support into Girl sports.

Prior to the above, RARELY did an OT pop up!

MANY DAILEY posters got tired of the WT OT girl sports hijackings and either left the board or stopped posting very often.

We used to have posters from pretty much all the LSC schools, (with MSU-Texas having the least amount). Used to be lots and lots of smack talk. Good times! Those days are LONG GONE.

Now I HEAR about new posters coming in, seeing all the OT stuff and getting turned off because they came to D2 FOOTBALL looking to discuss D2 FOOTBALL and see all this other sh!t.

I mean....if I am looking to buy a Harley , I am going to search for a Harley dealership. If I click on that link and all I see are skateboards, I'm leaving!

Then if new poster question why are there WT girl sports threads all over a D2 FOOTBALL site , they are told "don't like it, don't read it" or "leave". Soooo, they don't like it and LEAVE.


And HERE WE ARE!!! The same, old, remaining few. And the 3 WT Amigos who drive the OT threads DURING football season. And newbies, like you, who are confused, and question all the OT topics DURING FOOTBALL SEASON!

Lets be honest here.

A lot of traffic came from ACU, Commerce, and Tarleton supporters.

WT and Kingsville had lots of posters before their dropoff.

Only ones left are old timers (Pre Facebook and Myspace) and if WT, Kingsville, UTPB, etc. are able to build/back up their fanbase then they are going to look for facebook type forums and not this place.

I have said it before if WT gets a new president and takes the D1 leap then this place will be as quiet as the independent forum.
