Good question. We’re one year closer to Wendler’s retirement. So I guess there’s that.

The truth to the matter, the A&M system is vested in just one other football program than theirs right now and that is Tarleton State. They could give a flying flip about TAMUK, WTAM, and Commerce.

At least they let Commerce move up. You’re probably right about the other 2. How else can you explain having Wendler at WT? The vote of no confidence evidently didn’t matter to Mr Notso Sharp.

Carthel won during a time of tough LSC schedules ACU, Tarelton, Kingsville, Central Oklahoma, ASU and Midwestern. All other “winning seasons “ were weak schedules.

Basically there has been one coach who was a consistent winner at WT in the last 30 years.

Winning seasons with some playoffs mixed in and a surprising deep run every decade or so.

Definitely dont want to be a perennial Missouri Southern.

Would be really nice to see some Pitt St. seasons.

I think WT has a lot of potential. I think it could be a Top 10 type program.

But that's not what it's been historically.
