Hays has outgained ASU 206-16 and lead 14-0, almost done with the first quarter.

Smith already in for Fuller at QB.

Smith pays off. ASU within 14-7 early second.

            Halftime, Hays leads 14-7.

ASU had a nightmare first quarter but has managed to stay in it. Rams looking to see which QB works the best, Smith has led the ASU scoring drive.

Third quarter was a stalemate, punts all around. Still 14-7 going into the fourth.

Stalemate broken by the Hays defense. Wilcox lost the ball and Hays drove it in on the short field. Could be a back breaker.

                  21-7 Hays

ASU drive stalls at the Hays 9.

                    21-7, 7 minutes left

ASU has the ball back but Hays killed 5 minutes on a drive.

                      21-7, 2 minutes left

ASU turns it over on downs and it’s over. Offense was a mess and the two-QB thing (I hope) will end before next week, but then again, neither guy looked great although Smith led the scoring drive. 2 yards a carry on the ground too.

Defense was OK but was asked to do it all.

Angelo fans should be really concerned going into next week-Emporia’s supposed to be at least as good as Hays according to the preseason polls.

                          It wasn't 2 QB'S. It was 3.

Both QBs looked bad. Unless they get their stuff together it will be a long season.

Hill doesn't really count as a third QB. I think He was just getting a few snaps.

Hated to see Wilcox go down.

This game was a head scratcher.

It doesn't appear that MoSo played their starting RB, top WR, or elite 100 TE much if at all. I have been asking around, and nobody is sure if it was due to Injury, discipline, or what?

Good win for Midwestern, though. Southern is decent on D, and fairly physical. They are the type of team that can drag you into a rock fight like this one appeared to be.

Did anyone happen to notice Stephen F Austin's 77-0 win over North American University (NAIA)? I believe they were up 70-0 at the half and decided on 5 minute 3rd & 4th qrtrs with no clock stoppage. I'm not sure why an FCA team would fill their schedule with an NAIA opponent that's only been playing FB for a couple of years.
