Never too early to talk recruiting for next year! Ellensburg HS 6'5" 300 lb o-lineman Charle Bennett has committed to stay at home to play for CWU, passing up a preferred walk-on offer from WSU.

Also, CWU just offered a 3-star (84 rating) #31 2025 recruit in Washington, Graham Kapowsin HS WR/DB Khris Norris. He has previous FBS offers from Nevada and Pittsburgh, but not sure if they are still on the table as they were from prior to his junior year earlier on 2023. Also has a lot of Big Sky interest. Most D1 interest is as a DB, I wonder if CWU is offering him as a WR. GKHS is a passing powerhouse known for dishing out D1 QBs and WRs so Norris sort of was in the middle of the mix and never had a chance to break out, averaging 583 yards the past 3 seasons. So he could be a pretty overlooked recruit. I would think he will get some FCS offers roll in, but glad to see CWU going after bigger recruits.

CWU just picked up a big time 3-star RB, Antoine Lee from Kentwood HS! He rushed for over 2000 yards and 28 touchdowns this past season and rushed for school record 344 yards in a single game. School records nearly 6600 yards and 62 touchdowns in his 4 year HS career. This is the 2nd year in a row CWU adds a 3-star running back (Beau Phillips last year). Lee also held previous offers from Colorado and Arizona from their previous coaching staffs (I assume those offers are since gone) but I am shocked he doesn't have more offers, especially D1. Maybe due to his school's pretty weak team over the past several years he was overlooked.

Wow, and CWU just added yet another 3-star recruit, WR/DB Khris Norris from state football powerhouse Graham Kapowsin! I already talked about him a couple posts up, on offense he had the talent but never saw the breakout production that kept him under the radar. Did have previous FBS offers from Nevada and Ptt.

CWU also got commit from Lakes HS DL Tayvion Smith

Also something brewing to keep an eye on is that CWU offered 2x state 4A champion and 2023 Gatorade State POTY QB Kolton Matson from powerhouse Lake Stevens HS. Another 3-star recruit, the #1 2025 QB in the state. Didn't quite match his 2023 production and somehow has no D1 offers...yet. Also has Western Oregon offer. If Kolton did commit, it would be interesting as Kennedy McGill still has 2 more years left. Tbh if he wanted a better shot at earlier playing time, WOU would be the better fit. But still hope CWU can reel him in!
