One thing I think we can all agree on this week is Go Wolves.

I can't say that because I like both teams.

A WOU win would make for an interesting CWU v. WOU game the weekend after. The LSC title would be at stake as well as playoff considerations.

CWU is out of the top 25 for the first time this season. Angelo State is the first LSC team not named CWU to be in the top 25 this season, they enter in at number 20.

Rankings are out, and Angelo is number 5 and CWU number 6 in SR4.

Hoping to hear from WOU people on this one…where does this week’s game with Angelo rank in terms of their program’s history?

I think the WOU/Angelo State game is huge. I'm pulling for WOU.

I dug a little deeper into this one. I can't remember when they switched to D2, but I'm assuming it was with CWU, whose first year in D2 was 1999. They went 9-2 in 2007 with wins over Kingsville and Colorado Mines, losing to FCS Cal Poly and CWU. But since two of those wins were over D3 Willamette and LInfield, with another over NAIA Southern Oregon, I'm not sure how much they were in consideration for the playoffs. They've had a few 7-4 seasons, including 2015 when they beat #6 North Alabama at home. They've had way too many 5-5, 5-6 and 6-5 years though.

And they have years where they schedule well. Home and home with Grand Valley, no stranger to the LSC teams before WOU became and affiliate member, including a few who are FCS now. And you can always count on them playing 1-2 FCS teams a year. I've always thought the talent was there at WOU, just not quite enough to get over the hump.

There's not a lot of controversy on this week's picks. I would have thought more might gamble on WOU, but guess not.

This week’s preview is up, complete with playoff talk and many, many missed kicks.

Early in the season, we all can't wait for the regional rankings, but now that they've been here for two weeks, it stresses me out thinking of all the scenarios.

I am just glad the Angelo State vs. Western Oregon game is during the daytime and dont have to wait until super late to know the winner.

Love having the GNAC teams in the conference but brutal for the away games.

Its like trying to stay up to watch the Texas Rangers away games during divisional play.

Here's my solution: wait and see what happens.

I'm also not losing any sleep over playoff possibilities in the NFL.
