Yet their OC that had success calling plays to allow him to get those yards gets a big pay day as HC at another university and it's great. Of course the kids want a piece of the pie also. Amateur went out the window when coaches started making millions.

At first glance, this doesn't make sense, unless you want to be able to say you played FCS. Or maybe they were offering more money than CWU. But go ahead and play for a 5-6 team in front of 1,500 people at home games instead of a team that will go to the national tournament.......again....... in 2025.

Love the confidence but I would tap the breaks. 2 losses may not be good enough next year with realignment.

I find myself using that phrase too…right before I start with a story that causes the majority of my students (between 18-25) to be more lost in the class than they were with the stuff I was teaching them. Although my favorite thing to say is something to the effect of “I don’t know how I made it out of the 70s”.

          (Gen X here too)

I find I am the perfect age to use "back in my day" or "back then".

I was in junior high in the 80s and high school in the early 90s when you got your a$$ beat for misbehaving in school.

I went to college the first time from 91-94 before Al Gore invented the internet (sarcasm) and before cell phones became a thing.

For context my daughter got in trouble at school this week for being on her cell phone and popping off to her coach for taking it up.

The 80s thing to do (and I would have still supported it today) is for the coach to give her (and my son if he gets in trouble) tons of running and for the principal to swat their A$$.

Now none of those things ever happen anymore so you have to make sure to take care of it at home and for teachers/coaches sake hope parents do that also.

So of course the other night I found myself saying "Back in my day your grandma made me walk to and from school 3 miles each day (actually true even in winter), didnt have a cell phone to talk to them during the day, practiced 3 hours a evening, and got swats from both my teacher, prinicipal, and your grandparents if I were being an A$$, and grounded from my video games for a month"

Sheesh I have become a boomer!!

Good point. I don't want to talk about that yet, that's too scary. SR3 and SR4 will kill off so many talented teams even before the playoffs.

However, I'm not sure why he's leaving. I don't know much about the Big Sky beyond Montana/Montana State/Eastern Washington, but good for him. Portland State sees FCS talent. He was great for CWU.

                Pretty great generation.

We screwed the world up. Haha.

Question....how did you go to high school in the early it's and attend college from 91-94? 🤔 Are you Doogie Howser?

NIL probably, and he is from Chehalis so much closer for his family to go to games.

                    What are "video games"?

We had games involving shovels, tractors, and fence posts...
