            How can it be? McBroom hired all the current coaches except for baseball and women’s soccer. He did take the baseball coach with him.

            I don’t think he will be hiring Nesbitt, Hughes, or Lynn.

                Sheesh. Can't tell if WT is just declining in most sports or if the other LSC schools have stepped up their game and just passed WT by. Probably a combination of the two. If they start losing the conference and playoffs in Volleyball and Softball then start burning it down and start from scratch.

                    You believe WT will grow and become a regional powerhouse based on Volleyball & Softball??

                    Softball has won 2 Natty's '14 & '21

                    Volleyball winning the title in 1990, 1991, 1997, and most recently in 2022.

                    How has that played out as far as increasing ANYTHING at WT??

                    I mean it's "nice" for the girls to win, but this is TEXAS....Big $$ & people follow the king of Texas sports, FOOTBALL, with baseball & basketball a distant 2nd.

                    Unless WTAMU is going to officially change it's name to Women's Texas A&M. Which might not be a bad idea!!

                      I meant changing coaching staffs not literally to the studs. This is super annoying and frustrating to see WT just slowly falling into the abyss.

                        Yes it is. And I just don't get it!!!! It's a great college town. Amarillo just up the road. Great facilities and educational offerings. It should be KILLING it.

                            Never seen any evidence that a D2 natty in any sport helps enrollment. It's D2.
