Mines wins on that safety, 33-31. Buffaloes forced a couple punts late but the offense couldn't get the big score. Defense needs to be more consistent and better against the run. Offense needs to find a runner other than Martinez. Too many penalties too. WNMU should be a win.

For what it's worth, WT looked better than they were at this point last year, 0-2 record aside.

Nice effort by the Buffs. They just need better coaching. They will prevail against WNMU though!
I don’t think it was a coaching problem. Players have to make plays. The defense couldn’t stop Mines running up the middle, that’s what lost them the game.

4th quarter it seemed like the defense finally started to gel and make plays and then the offense regressed. This was a winnable game for WT and much improved.

I think the pitchforks for Lynn are put on hold but feel they need to find a way to beat one of the 3 top teams and finish 7-4 to get another shot next year.

A smarter DC would have made adjustments instead of watching Walker run up the middle repeatedly.

It’s certainly more fun to watch WT this year.

I don’t think they will beat the big 3 but maybe will have their first win against WOU. I’ve picked WT in that series every year, and was wrong every time.

I don’t see getting Lynn another year as important.

7-4? That's acceptable at this juncture? Ummm, okay.

Same sh!t different coach. Mediocrity at its finest.

WT President could care less about sports. Coaching staff is so so. Another sad year.. I thought the New Stadium was going to bring all kind of good things to the football program.

Of course I dont think its acceptable but I am just the peon poster like most on this board and I dont have a say.

From Wendler's lens, 7-4 would be acceptable for him.

Any other AD knowing WT's recent football success and where it needs to go, then it isnt good enough.

All things being equal, 7-4 likely would keep Lynn around.

WT has at least 4 losses scheduled, UTPB, ASU, CWU, and WOU. 5-6 at best with a possible 4-7.

If the old LSC schedule was still around, WT would be 2-9 year after year.

A loss to Western Oregon should cost Lynn his job especially at home.

                      Agree with your other points.

Good news for Angelo - Fort Hays went to #6 CSU-Pueblo and won with the help of a blocked PAT.

                          Western Oregon voodoo is strong.

That's been an issue with the defense late in both their games, and it can be a by-product of trying to go so fast on offense. Too many empty possessions can contribute to wearing out the defense. PB had that issue at times before McCullough got there.

Yeah that was just disinformation shared by Dilbert managers.

I would rather have the WOU coach than Lynn, who always seems flustered.
