Felt like checking in on TAMUT to see what they've been up to... They signed a whopping 68 kids on national signing day. For a season where they won't even see the field (it's a development year before beginning play in 2027). I know in the age of the portal a lot can change with regards to rosters, but it seems like they're really building something in Texarkana.

In the Transfer Portal Era Start up actually have a huge advantage. They can go out and assemble a roster from scratch and be able to promise the one thing every kid wants immediate playing time. UTRGV started with a bang and I would expect the same from TAMUT if they are truly going to be fully funded at 36 scholarship. I wouldn't be surprised to see a top 5 LSC finish in year one.

How does that work? Does developmental mean they can redshirt and keep their full eligibility?

They have 10 Semesters to play 4 years so yes they will all basically redshirt
