Wow, CWU's new OC/QB Coach Heath Parling backed out of CWU and instead took the QB Coach job at South Dakota.

That hurts. Probably at worst the same pay in one of the top conferences in the FCS with a team that has been consistently ranked with playoff appearances. I don't like it, but I understand it.

Dad from the football team informed me that Sam King is the new OC. He was the assistant QBs coach at WSU last season and spent several years at North Dakota prior to that, mostly as their WR coach.

I feel your pain. As a UT fan I had a sense of pride and slamming others that would chant "SEC SEC SEC" riding the coat tails of Alabama (Football), Kentucky (Basketball), and LSU (Baseball). Now I get to see younger UT fans do the exact same thing now.

I grew up with (and still follow) the Big East and now can’t stand the ACC for similar reasons. Was accepted to UConn and was going to go there because that’s what you did in CT in the early 90s, but got freaked out by its size and chose a far smaller school instead.

Kind of cool that there’s an old SWC rematch today with A&M and Houston.

Trust me I am right there with you and miss all the 80s football and basketball realignments.

I remember ESPN having the big east basketball game of the week and we would have the SWC football game of the week here.

I dont mind the close regional swaps but they lost me with UCLA in the big 10, West Virginia in the Big 12, etc.
