My response to those who judged this young man:

    Matthew 7:1-5

What does Falcon nation think about this hire?
Going to give this hire a chance. He won at a pretty good clip at the high school he was at. Put together a decent staff it seems. He has the QB to win. But lost 90% of his production elsewhere on both sides. He will have to bring in some good transfers but I haven't seen any posted yet.

I think UTPB is going to take a big step down talent wise. Now coaching schemes, retention, ect. may be a big improvement. I don't know enough about Softley to speculate, but I don't think they are making the splash in recruiting UTPB has the past few years.

I don't know anything about him other than he coached high school in Texas but wish him all the best. UTPB has everything to be a LSC power.

That doesn't look good for him. GWU is a Baptist school, could it possibly be a violation of conduct rules?

On X there is rumbling it was sexual harassment of a staff member. If its a christian school I bet he is done

Wow, this is the longest article I've read that basically contains no information. I hope he is innocent.

It's a shame. WT could use a quality head coach like him.

Had a chance to drive through the UTPB campus. It was the first time I have been on campus since the dedication of the new fieldhouse. Nice to see the campus is loosing it's concentration camp look and starting to look like a college campus. I always thought that UTPB was treated as a stepchild compared to the other UT campuses.

I don't like seeing guys blow up their careers at a very young age. Hopefully he can pull it together as I thought he had a promising future.

A lot of these football coaches need advisors as in perhaps retired college football coaches to talk to. They lean on these cocky agents, who don't know anything about college football or college sports, but know enough about money. They literally don't know where their coach would be a good fit.

I live in the Northwest and Oregon State's fairly successful coach, Jonathan Smith, left a couple years ago for Michigan State. I predicted he'd get fired in 3 years. He got fired in 2 years. It was a horrible fit. He'd never lived in the Midwest before, he had no recruiting connections, and he's got the personality of a stump.

Oregon State fans, because he played there and was successful and had some good seasons, we're willing to forgive his weirdness. I knew it wouldn't fly in East Lansing. But who convinced him to go to East Lansing? A young, stupid agent. He would have been better off talking to an old crusty football coach who could guide him, and I would say that's the same for McCullough.

If this is true, very few people if any are going to get away with that especially with social media and someone just clicking record on a cell phone.

On the flip side I hope its not someone with an agenda and just throwing the accusations out there.
