Heck of a game just finished in Moorhead. It had snowed earlier in the F-M area with plenty of white around Nemzek but the field was completely clear and skies were sunny. In 20 degree weather, the Dragons survived 20-17.

They led 20-3 to start the second quarter and then the Warriors stormed back with a good scoring drive and recovered a fumble on a botched kick-off for the Dragons. They scored another TD and then it turned into a defensive battle. The Dragons defense showed up at the end, denied Winona State on 4th down and then MSUM picked up a first down on 4th and 3 to seal the deal.

The Dragons are 6-3, they've clinched their first winning season since 2019 and will play for the Axe next week against Bemidji State. This was a great win for the Dragons, especially as Winona has had MSUM's number for the last decade.
