Some of God's greatest gifts, are unanswered prayers. It'd be hard to lose X or some other apps, but it'd be a blessing for it all to dissappear.

Played in a few games in 2022 for the Gophers. Not sure he saw much action in 2023. Maybe due to injury or depth chart not sure.
He is a good one. Gopher walk on, was hoping Duluth could have gotten him not sure if they offered him.

After screaming Sir Elon Tusk into my laptop, his greatness has restored my account after a 2 day absence. Also, I promised to buy a Cybertruck.

There seems to be a lot of assumptions that when a player enters the portal, they are automatically looking for a D1 team to join…then the piling on about it. As fans, we clearly feel a little hurt (in the general sense of the term) when a player chooses to leave our team/school, because of our emotional connection to said school. There are SO MANY reasons for wanting to transfer, other than just chasing a D1 dream. Personally, and I know I’m an idiot..ha, I transferred because of my then girlfriend. Some kids want to play. Some were lied to by the coaches. Some want to win more than 1-3 games per year. Some want to get out of the climate. Some have family reasons. Some do it for academic reasons…on and on. And certainly, some are chasing the dream. And others just want that recruiting attention again!

College coaches are now more like ‘real world’ managers than ever before. You can put a ton of time and resources into finding a candidate to fill your open position (recruiting), and then developing them (training, etc) only to see them leave for another job. Scholarships are year to year contracts.

You bring up a good point by bringing it to the real world. People change jobs all the time. Lots of reasons, some good, some bad, and some neither. Until I am in that position, I don't want to judge anyone's motives, but there is an emotional component to it as well, especially for fans. I can see the utility in allowing transfers but think there is a significant amount of work to be done on how transfers happen. Too many kids enter the transfer portal and just disappear. I hope for their sakes that they return to school and do something to further their lives/careers.

P.S. You are not an idiot unless you don't learn from it. If what you did makes you an idiot, there are a lot of us on this board who are your brethren idiots

It does suck to see some of these guys leave our programs - IMO, I love my alma mater and want the players on the football team to love it too. Especially blows because we had a good core that was starting to find their way a little bit.

But that being said, it's not worth getting upset over. In fact, I've offered public support on social media for a couple of the exiting players (which they've seen) and I do intend to follow a couple of them after departing. Love my school, love the sport - but it's life, and frankly, it's just football.

UMD going to a 2 QB rotation? A gunslinger on long downs and KWJ for running downs. Actually, Walljasper has the potential to be the best QB in the league. UMD35 already believes he the better Jack Strand, haha.

look again the transfer is a DB, but I do believe Kyle will be an All American in the the next 2 yrs.

He seems like a good addition for the Bulldogs. He's a top defender in the NAIA and I'm guessing he will be plug and play for them..as UMD got the Gibson brothers from Mary the year previous.

Shawn Martinez from SMSU announced a commitment to UCM this morning.

I should ask - is this thread for all portal movement or just incoming? I don't want to clog it with my outbound info.

My thoughts are this is a 2-way street....as nearly all schools will be balancing out their losses to the portal with their additions.
