I just looked at SDSU's baseball schedule and I noticed that we're visiting the Erv on 3/26. Probably SMSU's first DI game in a long time.

I know it's not football but thought I'd mention in in case anyone is interested.

I have seen a half dozen or so commits the last few days. I think we had some recruits in the last 2 weekends. Mostly JUCOs but some HS players too. One DE that looks the part. No idea on the others

I simply pointed out Mankato poaches some of our kids. That's the reality. We aren't the only school getting poached. Hell Bemidji lost their best player.

As a Mankato fan, I think your stance is it is awesome being the big kid on the black and getting whoever you want. I know that is what I would think

Maybe I'm just not a togh enough fan, but I understand the reality, It is a hard place to win a lot fo games and it has been made a lot harder with the new portal rules etc. I accept that becuase it is the new reality.

Easy now - it was the only option I had coming out of high school and I'm grateful for the opportunity. I've heard plenty of University of Minnesota people say the same thing about MSU. Even if you're only referencing football - it's a bit of a low blow.

EDITED FOR CLARITY: That victim mentality isn't an SMSU thing, it's a Marshall thing. We were all sick of it too as students. I don't know what those folks have to complain about - they have life on easy mode. Don't really have to work very hard in a town like that, they get everything handed to them by the state.

I'd pick the campus up and move it out of Marshall in a heartbeat, but there aren't a lot of great options to move it too while still keeping that name.

Well that was one heck of a discussion.

Listening to SMSU and MSU people bicker about who is better is kinda sad though. Neither are exactly Harvard. Love them both, but good lord.
