From my perspective, both yes and no.

Last year's Coo defense was so abysmal that I wasn't expecting them to rebound as fast as they have. On the flip side, as a Coo fan used to nearly three decades of winning, we have very high expectations for our team so this season's performance is no surprise.

Kind of weird how I can feel both emotions at the same time.

      Appreciate the insight!

I think both positions are quite valid given the team's history. I know they had a rough year last year so it's nice to see they've bounced back. I'm sure dropping one at home to BSU was a bummer, but they really did hang in there with one of the best teams in the conference/country.

Still a lot of season to play but at this moment, exceeding expectations. And echoing Tundra's thoughts, the defense especially. The St. Thomas win got people believing but they still need to do it week in and week out. I'm more optimistic than I was to start the season but the schedule is tough this year. But man, this team is still pretty young overall and had numerous opportunities to be 4-0 on Saturday against a really good BSU team. Last year they battled but folded late (5 losses to end the season). I loved the fight on Saturday. Coach Glo said it well, he was happier with the team's performance even if the result wasn't ideal. I would concur. Consistency is hard. That starts with going on the road to take care of business at Minot as an answer to a tough loss. And the UMD, Wayne, Augie stretch is where we really find out if Glo and the Coo are ahead of schedule or right on track.

Entertaining game but Beavers made a few more plays and got it done. Proud of the Coo's effort but still things to clean up. Schedule won't ease up.

Game took a turn when leading 24-21 early in the 4th quarter, Coo are driving and threatening to score. A wide open TE in Mark Leonard catches a pass over the middle and was fighting for the end zone. From the stands, sure looked like the Coo were about to go up two scores. Instead, just as he was about to cross the plane the ball was knocked from Leonard's hands, and it rolled outta the back of the end zone. Touchback. Beaver ball.

Props to Zim at Sioux Falls Live for getting the perfect shot of it below (Link to full article).

This was a simple trade off, Coach even mentioned it in the post game...Beavers should have been up 7-0 very early, but instead a fumble into the end zone gave USF the ball on the 20
